Will getting permanent makeup hurt?
"This may vary according to each individual’s pain threshold, however, topical anesthetics are used to numb the area and minimize discomfort. Most people describe a mild pricking or annoying tickling sensation. Allergic reactions to permanent cosmetic procedures are extremely rare. The cosmetic pigments are made from completely natural ingredients and disposable sterile needles and surgical gloves are used for each procedure. However, medical micro-pigmentation is a skin invasive procedure. It is extremely important to consult an experienced professional technician who is licensed, qualified and conscientious."
PAIN, ANXIETY AND OTHER MEDICATIONS: You may ask your doctor if there are medications that you can take, such as Benedryl, Tylenol, Zanax or Valium prior to this procedure to help you relax or control discomfort If you feel you need to. You must have a driver if you take any medication that could inhibit driving. It is recommended to take 2-3 extra strength Tylenol 30 minutes before your procedure. Arnica Montana is a natural supplement available at health food stores and can be taken 1-2 days before procedure. Arnica helps with bruising, swelling and inflammation. Take two tablets, three times a day, for the first three days after the procedure. Place the tablets under your tongue about 15 minutes to 30 minutes before eating.
How long will it take?
"Times vary according to the individual’s sensitivity, hydration, density, elasticity and overall condition of the skin. Allowing time for anesthetics to take effect, implanting of the pigment and some final fine tuning of the procedure, average time for the initial visit is as followed"
1 -2 hours for eyeliner
1-2 hours for eyebrows
2 hours for full lip and lip liner
What follow-up will I need?
"Four to six weeks after the initial application, a follow-up visit may be required to perfect the lines or color. This visit does not require as much time as the initial procedure."
*If a retouch is needed, it is included in price if scheduled within 60-90 days of initial procedure*
